Contribution to waste prevention: The award recognises products which, through their use, can help to reduce waste. For drinking water treatment products, the assessment is based on their potential to replace bottled water and associated packaging, such as PET bottles. The extent of waste reduction depends on the individual’s water consumption.

 Energy efficiency: This award is based on the officially stated energy efficiency class A. The assessment is based on the technical product information provided by the manufacturer.

Natural material: The award-winning roasting tin is made of terracotta or fired clay. The assessment is based on the product information provided by the manufacturer.

Recycled ABS: The storage box for the award-winning product is made from recycled ABS. The assessment is based on the product information provided by the manufacturer.

Recycled aluminium: 100% recycled aluminium is used in the manufacture of the award-winning product. The assessment is based on the product information provided by the manufacturer.

 Solar power: 100 per cent of the electricity used in the manufacture of this award-winning product comes from the company’s own photovoltaic system. The proportion of the company’s total electricity requirements met by electricity generated by its own photovoltaic system is at least 50 per cent.
